LEADING INDIA'S 2 MILLION EX SERVICEMEN/WOUNDED SOLDIERS &   WAR WIDOWS TO ECONOMIC PROSPERITY
Born on 7th March 1950, Mukesh Anand, is the son of an Ex Serviceman Col S R Anand  His late father retired at age 50 - built up a MICO BOSCH successful distributoship , which inspired him also to begin a second career at age 50
He is the Founder Chairman of PROJECT HEALING TOUCH MISSION VIJAY-2 , incorporated in Dec 2000 and Founder Executive Director of the WAR WOUNDED FOUNDATION, incorporated in August 2002-- A logical progression of Project Healing Touch
 
He was Vice Chairman of the Justice Tankha ROTARY Institute for the Spastics& Handicapped at Jabalpur during 1997-99. It is during this period that he did a lot of rehabilitation work for persons affected by POLIO. 
During this period he was himself in crutches for ten months having had a major fracture on his left foot.
Post the Kargil war senior officers of the Indian Army  SAW THE POLIO PERSONS WORKING WITH THEIR ABLE HANDS ON SPARK PLUG TESTERS  DONATED BY ROTARIANS  and invited him to help resettle the wounded soldiers/ ex servicemen and war widows .
