A Survey on : “Do Ex-Servicemen Make Better Managers?”

The Need
DefenceIndia was inundated with numerous calls in 2004-05, from corporate entities, Small and medium enterprises, and boutique manufacturing firms with requests for recommendations for vacancies in their organizations. The team were requested to collate and share lists of ex-servicemen who could be the best fit in that organization’s profile and prove to be a long term asset.
 
 

Survey unveils 87 % Indians favour Conscription.

New Delhi June 27: In a landmark survey undertaken by DefenceIndia.com, India’s leading portal on defence issues, articles and news, 87 % of surveyed respondents voted over-whelmingly in favour of conscription in the country. The question asked was whether conscription should be made compulsory in India. Conscription is a term used to describe compulsory enrolment in the country’s defence forces.
 
 

CRA Study on DEF EXPO 2008

A report released by Credence Research and analytics (CRA) on the new emerging trends in Indian Defence Industry listed India as an important strategic and business partner for most of the developed countries. As part of the survey conducted during the DEF EXPO 2008 it was found that most of the countries looked at India as a huge market and potential client.
 
 

CRA Study on perception of Defence Industry on the Offset Policy of Indian Government

India is the third largest importer of arms and equipment in the world. India every year spends nearly 40 % of the defence budget towards acquisitions of arms and technology either through direct or indirect imports. To achieve greater self reliance in defence production, Ministry of Defence, Government of India has announced the Offset Policy as part of the Defence Procurement Procedure (DPP) 2005.
