Recent disappearance of wagons raised in LS |
|
|
In what one may call a striking example of carelessness and security breech, the defence India expresses it concern over the disappearance of two wagons loaded with ammunition during the train journey from an ordnance factory in Orissa to Jodhpur in Rajasthan. |
| |
| This eyebrow raising issue was recently raised by the Braj Kishore Tripathi (BJD), during zero hour, raised in the Lok Sabha on Friday. |
| |
Giving the details of the incident, Braj Kishore Tripathi (BJD) said the missing of the two wagons for the past over two months was a very sensitive matter and needed to be probed deeply. He said that the train had left Bolangir where the factory is located on September two. |
| |
Speaking on the similar lines, party colleagues Bhartruhari Mahtab and Prasanna Acharya also said that the Railways are silent over the matter and the Government was also not forthcoming. |
| |
Further pointing at the growing incidents of terrorist violence and naxalite activity, Tripathi said disappearance of the two wagons of the 22 wagon train is fraught with danger. |
| |
| In response to the issue, Parliamentary Affairs Minister P R Dasmunsi assured the members that he would bring the matter to the notice of the Home Minister and the Defence Minister. |
